NTSA is happy to announce a new virtual event called vIITSEC, taking place November 30 - December 4, 2020. Visit vIITSEC.org for more information.
Should I still submit my presentation for I/ITSEC 2020?
Yes, we will still place all the provided pieces of your abstract, paper, and presentation in the 2020 I/ITSEC repository.
Will I be able to publish my Paper/Tutorial?
Yes, we will publish all accepted Papers and Tutorials inside the 2020 I/ITSEC repository.
Can I present my Paper/Tutorial at I/ITSEC 2021 instead?
In a word yes. You may pull your Paper/Tutorial from I/ITSEC 2020 and then resubmit for I/ITSEC 2021. There is no automatic acceptance, your submission will still be required to go through the same I/ITSEC approval process.
Can I present my Paper to another conference?
If you agree to publish or present virtually, you may not present your Paper at another conference. If you pull your Paper from I/ITSEC 2020 and present at another conference, you will not be allowed to present the same Paper at I/ITSEC 2021.
What is the policy for exhibit fees?
All exhibitor booths will be automatically cancelled, and monies will be moved forward to your I/ITSEC 2021 exhibit space, unless otherwise arranged. NTSA intends to maintain the floor design in 2021 similar to 2020, this will be based on booth sizes requested in 2021 by exhibitors. Further questions should be directed to Shannon Burch, NTSA Director of Exhibits, at sburch@NDIA.org.
What is the procedure for I/ITSEC 2021 exhibit space selection?
NTSA is currently managing the procedure for the assignments/booking process for 2021. Shannon Burch will send an announcement via email to all exhibitors early October.
What is the policy for sponsorship fees?
All sponsorships will be cancelled, and monies will be moved forward to I/ITSEC 2021, unless otherwise arranged. Sponsorships that were selected/confirmed in 2020 will be held for 2021. Further questions should be directed to Shannon Burch, NTSA Director of Exhibits at sburch@NDIA.org.
What is the policy for advertisers?
Kathleen Kenny will be in touch to discuss advertising options that remain available. Further questions should be directed to Kathleen at kkenney@NDIA.org or Alex Mitchell at amitchell@NDIA.org.
How do I cancel my hotel rooms?
All rooms booked through On-Peak, the official hotel organizer for I/ITSEC, will be cancelled automatically. If you have booked hotels outside of the official block, you must cancel those yourselves. NTSA is not liable for room cancellations or penalties for rooms that were booked outside of the official hotel organizer (On-Peak). Hotel booking instructions for 2021 will be provided in early November 2020.
Will participants be refunded for any related expenses?
We are unable to provide reimbursement for related expenses outside of registration or exhibit/sponsorship fees that are managed by NTSA. Exhibitors should work directly with their contracted vendors for any questions related to refunds or contracted services. In terms of air travel, many airlines are waiving change fees and updating their policies daily. We apologize for any inconvenience and challenges this may cause you. NTSA will continue to explore ways in which we can provide support.
Why did you wait until now to cancel?
NTSA wanted to make every effort to hold I/ITSEC 2020 as scheduled. There has been and continue to be heavy coordination with multiple stakeholders involved to make the best decisions possible. The situation is constantly evolving, and each day brings new developments and new data. The most recent data from Florida Department of Health made it clear, that it would be an unacceptable risk to bring the I/ITSEC community together.
