EcosySTEM of Learning Teacher Mentorship Program

NTSA’s EcosySTEM of Learning recently launched the NTSA EcosySTEM of Learning Teacher Mentorship Program. NTSA believes that teachers are directly impactful on the students they teach and wants to help give teachers the tools to impact students through Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) programming, career information, and the information needed to help students pursue pathways to exciting and well-paying jobs.

Now we are looking for your help to join in as well. We are looking for interested industry partners to collaborate with a school for their time in the Mentorship Program. We are asking industry partners to collaborate or coordinate programming with their partner teacher and classroom a minimum of 1 time per quarter (aka a minimum of 4 times a year) throughout the 2-year program. Engagement can be done virtually or in-person, but in-person is the preferred to help build relationships and grow tomorrow’s leaders.

Activities such as the following are recommended:

  • Guest speaker
  • Facility tour
  • Teach tangible hard skills
  • Work with students on resumes/networking/mock interviews/etc.
  • Job shadowing
  • Conduct a workshop/seminar with students
  • Explore student internship and teacher externship possibilities
  • Videos (tours, interviews, career opportunities)
