randy forbes “Today we stand at a critical juncture in the medical modeling and simulation industry. As partners in this endeavor, medical professionals, elected officials, businesses, academia, and military consumers of M&S have a responsibility to work together. Through our collaboration, we can harness the power of modeling and simulation in support of new technology, in support of health care, our warfighters, and our national interest.”

The Future of Medical Training and Simulation is
Highlighted at  Largest  Simulation Exhibition in History

The 2008 I/ITSEC conference and exhibition will feature more medical content and will showcase more mind-boggling technology than ever before. A community of practice will assemble from December 1-4 in Orlando to share experiences, define the challenges, create the science, build the applications, and leverage medical modeling and simulation technology to improve preparation, training, and continuum of care.

Building the Foundation for Medical Modeling and Simulation

Medical Modeling and Simulation is a critical technology for the education of our young medical practitioners and an effective way to train the new proficiencies demanded of our warfighters and care givers as they respond to the challenges of today’s battlespace. M&S is demonstrating a growing contribution to the protocols for the rehabilitation of our soldiers, sailors, and airmen back to their units and their families.

An emerging community of practice is now ready for leaders in Government, Academia, and Industry to collaborate and drive towards the common goal of thoughtful requirements, relevant science, and the transition technologies that must be the foundation of effective solutions that will attract program funding.

Members of this round table and the audience will interact to identify how these communities can work together to determine a future road map for Medical M&S and better serve the continuum of care, today and in the future.>>>MORE

Future Applications of M&S for Education, Training, & Care
Highlighting the enormous potential and challenge of medical modeling, simulation, and training, experts will navigate through the human body, showing how technology is used to provide training for our military in the contemporary medical operating environment. Our passage continues with numerous stops along the way, including presentations on project successes, such as Physiology Modeling, Distributed Medical Training Environments, Tele-Medicine, and VR for Behavioral Health, including PTSD/TBI.
